-First you go to the "my settings" button and click "user settings".
-For an avatar, you would hit "browse" and upload a picture in the "avatar" space by hitting the "upload new picture button".
-For a signature, you would have to either make your own and put it on a photo sharing site (like photobucket or flickr) or ask someone to make you one. If some one makes one for you, you simply just take the code tey give you and paste it into the box labeled "signature". If you make your own, like I said you would put it on a photosharing site. After that you would copy it's code (on photobucket I know it's called html code) and paste it into the box.
-after you've done that, you hit "update".
