I woke up curled up on my bathroom floor.I gasped for air but regreted it as soon as I felt the pain on my ribs.
I stood up slowly and examined myself with the mirrior.
It was worse then any other time.
Red slashes from the belt all over me and my stomach and arms covered in bruises.
My lips were poping from the punch he threw to them. I had a small cut on the side.
I pulled out my make-up and tried my best to cover it. I covered the old bruises on my wrists Emmett had seen just in case
anyone else saw.
I walked over to my room and picked out a sweater and some sweats. I pulled my hair back and grabbed my school bag. It hurt
to carry it, but I had to.
I carefully walked out of my house making sure I didnt wake dad up.
Once out I let out the last tears I needed to cry.
"Hilary?" A voice scared me
"Emmett? What are you doing here?"
"I noticed you didnt have a car."
"How?"
"Well...it isnt here." he pointed out. "What happened?"
He looked at me sternly and observed my face once again.
"I hurt myself with the edge of my bed." I lied quickly.
"You're lying to me." he whispered.
"how would you know that?"
"You look away when you lie."
"Do you really know me well enough to think that."
"No. I just pay attention."
He led me over to his Jeep and closed the door. I felt the pain cirrculate all over my body as I folded
my body to sit.
"take off your sweater." he ordered
I stared at him in shock, "What?!" I couldnt believe what he just asked from me.
"I just need to make sure of something."
His golden eyes dug inside mine.
I took a deep breath and slowly pulled off my sweater.
