CHAPTER 1

Hi. I'm Samantha but everyone calls me Sammy for short. I'm 12 years old but my birthday is tomarrow!! I'm FINALLY becoming a teenager!! All my friends are teens. It would be nice to feel like I belonged rather than the youngest in the group. My parents think they'er getting old- which they are, I just wouldn't tell that to there faces. Not unless I wanted to be grounded on my birthday!!

My dad is a teacher at my school, and he's a play writer. He writes scripts. My mom is a nurse at the local hospital. She loves it!!

I have 3 little brothers. Payton, Anderson, and Wilder. Payton is 11 now. Anderson is 8, turning 9 on Dec. 20th, and Wilder is 6. Yes, I am the oldest!! I HATE it!! All they do is fight and argue!! I wish they would just SHUT-UP!! They play video and computer games all day so thats what they fight and argue and cry over. Sometimes I loose my self-control and hurt one (sometimes all) of them. Thats only when I'm tired and hungry though, well not all the time, sometimes they just annoy me so I shut them up my self.

I love my music!!!! I listen to the radio and my iPod Touch when I can. I always have a song in my head wether I like it or not. I also play the viola. I used to play violin but my strings teacher wanted my to play viola because I'm a fast learner and we only had one other viola in the class. Now I love the viola but still play violin from time to time.

I also play soccer. Well used to, the season's over now. I go out side sometimes and play with my dad and brothers. It's very fun, until someone gets hurt or "isn't playing by the rules".

My birthday is tomarrow. I knew it would change my life but i never thought it would change it this dramaticly. I learned something about myself that I thought was impossible. My 13th birthday is the day that starts all the complicated twists and turns in my life.

                                        CHAPTER 2

Oh my gosh I can't belive it's finally here!! I thought as I got up at 7:00 in the morning. I always wake up that early. It's a habit my brain has gotten used to.

I moved my hand across my bedside table to try and find my glasses. My room has no windows, so it's pitch black even during the day!! I sit up and put my glasses on, then get up to go have some breakfast. I was REALLY hungry.

Once I got all the way up those 18 stairs (I was really bored) that I walk up and down a millon times a day, I see my mom already up making chocolate chip pancakes and bacon!! YUM!! I thought.

"What brings this on Mom?? You never get up this early." I said with a huge smile on my face.

"Oh, don't play dumb with me, you kno what day it is!! You haven't stopped talking about it for weeks now." She smiles back at me.

One of the things I love about my mom is that she's an AWESOME cook!! I love everything she cooks and she knows it.

"I'm taking work off today to celebrate your 13th birthday." I saw her face slip into a frown as she turned to get the butter out of the frige.

"Aww, you don't have to do that!! Dad's here he can handle the 5 girls that are coming today can't he??" I said in a whineing voice. My party is at 3:00 this afternoon, and out of the 10 people I invited only 5 will come.

"No I don't think he can. Teenage girls is not one of his specialties, thats kinda why he teaches 5th grade," she said as she put the chocolate chips in. It almost wasn't fair. My mom loves her work. She talks about it all the time!! I can't stand it!!

"And if your good," she started saying. My ears always perk up when I hear those words. It means I'm going to get something. I'm always good. "We'll go out tomarrow and but you something. After everybody leaves, of course." She saw me smiling from ear to ear. "You can get anything you want, no matter what the price is!!"

"Oh, thank you thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! A million times thank you!! I love you!!" I knew I couldn't buy anything expensive (we were kinda in the hole right then), but I was glad anyway. I got up and hugged her as tight as I could with out hurting her. I told her to call me when breakfast was done, and that I was going to go decide what I was going to get.

           ~~ 3 hours later~~

Mom and I were putting up decorations. We had red and black streamers and red and black balloons and a lot of tape!! The streamers were around the poles of the stairs. The balloons were hanging off the mantle of the fire place. It was so beautiful!!

"Hey Mom, can I put the left over sreamers and ballons downstairs??" I asked. I didn't want the upstairs to be all cool looking and the downstairs looking like a bland potato chip tasted!! 

"Do whatever you want. It's your party. Besides, I wont be here anyway. I've got a show." My mom also loves acting and preforming so she goes to the near-by senior center to play in plays (did I forget to mention that??). "I can't miss it, they need me." 

"Ok. But you will be back in time for the party right??" Her plays are very un-predictable. Sometimes the audience loves it so much they play another song. It could go on for hours!!

"Thats the plan," and she walks out the door and leaves me to finish.

                   ~~ 6 hours later~~

DING!! Thats the doorbell. I run to go get it but Mom's already there. Kenzie just showed up!! Her real name is Mckenzie but we call her Kenzie because it's just easier. "KENZIE!!" I yell and she looks over and smiles. Kenzie is the skinniest person I have ever met. She's 20lbs under wieght!!

"You have a nice house. It's very cottage like." We both laugh and I show her my bed room.

"It's not much, super small. But I don't really need a big room." I said as she looks around and puts her stuff down.

"I like it. The purple walls are cool, and the bed looks comfy." I smile at the compliment, but before I could say anything the doorbell rang again.

"Make your self at home," I said to Kenzie and went to see who it was. It was Sylvia. "Hey Syl. Come on in."

"Nice place. Very cottage-like." She says. I laugh. "What's so funny??"

"Thats exactly what Kenzie said!!" I laughed again.

"She's already here?? Cool, where is she??"

"Downstairs in my room. Come on."

"Hey Syl," Kenzie says when we walk in.

"Hey. So what are we going to do??" she asks me.

"Um, well I gess we wait and talk until everyone shows up then we can put a movie in. I haven't really thought about it much. Well I have, I just couldn't do any of it." My parents are kinda strict. They dont let me do much of anything. I still don't have a phone!!

"Ah. I understand, I couldn't do anything for my party." Kenzie said looking glum.

"Yes you could!! I went to you party, Kenzie!! You had a pool party and I couldn't swim remember?? None of my bathing suits fit??" She just sat there looking confused (she's a blonde). "Come on!! You really don't remember?? It was only a couple weeks ago!!!"

"OOOOOO!! Now I remember!!" Syl and I were standing there shaking our heads. "What?!?! Like you've never forgotten your birthdays."

Accually, I haven't," Syl and I said together. We all laughed. Then the door bell rang again, this time it was Jenna.

Jenna and I used to be best friends. In 5th grade I went over to her house all the time. Then I moved and lost contact. But now i'm back and we have every class together!! "Hey, Sammy!!" she said as she walked in.

"Hey, everyone's down stairs wanna come??"

"Sure," she says and I lead the way downstairs.

"Jenna!!" Kenzie and Syl say. We all sat down and started talking about random things that I don't remember. Then Genasis walks in. We all turn our heads to see who it is.

"Hey, Genasis how'd you get in?? I didn't hear the bell ring." I say, confused.

"You have a doorbell?? I didn't notice. I knocked. Your mom let me in. You have a nice place."

"Thanks. Ok I think thats everyone who's comeing--"

"I thought you said Austen was comeing," says Syl. Austen is my bestest friend in the whole wide world!! I've known since 1st grade and, although we may dissagree sometimes, we've never had one fight!! EVER!!

"Yea I thought she was too, until she called me saying that her boyfriend had to go over to her house because his parents are leaving and they don't trust him home alone." I saw the disbelief on there faces. "I kno, I don't get it either. She said he'd have to come to the party to and my parents said no to that because there'd be one guy at an all girl party. See why they said no?"

"Yea, I understand that." Syl said. "So what do we do??"

"Well I was getting to that. What do you want to do??" DING!! "Huh?? I thought that was everyone!!" I went upstairs to see who it was. Everyone followed. It was Austen!!! "Aussie?? What are you doing here?! I thought you couldn't come!!"

"I thought so too but then Christian called back saying he didn't need to. He's goin over to Jackson's house for the weekend."

"Oh. Aussie this is my Donelson group." I turn around and introduse them. Then we all go back down stairs and crank up my radio and let the party begin.

CHAPTER 3

I wake up at seven in the morning again, but I don't move. Instead, I try and remember what happend last night.

I remember all the presants I got. I got a camera from my Nana, five dollars from Genasis, a 35$ gift card to iTunes from Jenna, a P!nk CD from Kenzie, another 10$ gift card to iTunes from Syl, and a New Moon T-shirt from Aussie.

The best gift of all was what my parents gave me. An iPod Touch!!!! I screamed and hugged them when I opened the small, little box.

It was very fun. All we did was sit and talk, but it was fun!! The conversation I remember the most was when we were talking about boys. I replayed the exchanging of words in my head...

"Sammy, do you know who I like??" Syl asked me.

"No, am I supposed to?? Did you tell me before??" I was very prone to forgetting things. I really don't like it.

"No, I just wanted to know if I was making it obvious or not." She looks at me. "Am I??"

"Well, no. But I don't know who you like so I can't really tell."

"I'll tell you if you promise not to laugh," she said uncertain.

"Why would I laugh?? It's not Isacc is it??" I was being compleatly serious, too. If she'd have said yes I would of come over there and slaped her!!

"NO NO NO HELL NO!!!!! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!!!" She looks at me like i'm crazy. "I like Charlie you idiot!!! How could you possibly think i'd like Isacc?!?!?! GOD GIRL!!" We all just sat there laughing. At least she didnt say yes!!

"GOOD!!!" I said. "Well do you know who I like??"

"No. who??" she said curious.

"Alex."

"NO!!" Yelled Jenna!! "I like him!!!"

"Oh." And that's all I could say.

When everyone was up we went to go have donuts that my mom got for us. "Who wants milk??" I said.

"Me." Three hands shot up in the air. I got the cups and the milk out and started to pour it. Then something strange happend.

Everything was in perfect detail. I could see every particle of milk rushing into the cup. Then, in reaction to the sudden vision change, I squeezed the milk jug so hard it busted in my hands!! Milk went every where!! Wait a minute, I wasn't that strong!! I can't even crush an empty milk jug right!!

"SAMMY!!!" Everyone comes toward me. "Were's the towels??" Syl says.

I point to the drawer and say,"I'm gonna go change."

I got down stairs and changed into the New Moon shirt that Aussie gave me.

What just happened?!?! I thought to myself.

CHAPTER 4

A couple weeks have past since my 13th birthday, and things have gotten wierder and wierder!! The wierdest thing of all happend just the other day!!

I was sitting on the foo-ton whatching iCarly, and the boys come out with thier Nerf guns and started shooting each other. "GO IN ANOTHER ROOM AND DO THAT!!" I yell at them. They keep shooting. "At least quiet down alittle?? Please??" I tried but I knew hope was lost. I wish they would stop, sit, and shut up!! I thought.

They stopped, sat, and shut up!! I couldn't belive it!!

"Man, I don't wanna play this anymore!!" Anderson said. Which rarely happens becuase hes the most playful person on the planet.

"Ya me nither," Payton agreed. "I think i'm growing out of this game. I feel like I shouldn't play it anymore!!"

They threw thier guns on the floor and sat down. Didn't say a word for the rest of the day.

I thought it was just a coincedence but then it happend again yesturday!!

I was on the computer and I needed a pencil and paper because I was experimenting with new smilie faces I could use and Anderson says, "I'll get it for you Sammy." Huh?? "You said you wanted pencil and paper right??" He wasn't looking at me so I tried something.

Anderson, I thought, Could you also get me my iPod please??

"Sure!!" He said. I was at a loss for words!! He paused his game and went to get my things.

How could he have done that?? He never dose anything nice!! Especially for me!! "Here you go," he said and played his game again. Wow. Either he can read minds or i'm going insane!!

Maybe I was dreaming but it sure felt real!! I can remember every detail of it. And thats a huge deal because any who knows me knows I have a HORRIBLE memory!! It just dosen't make any sence.

I'm sitting up in my bed. It's seven o'clock in the morning, and even though it's still pitch black in my room, I can see everything. I feel something touch my arm. It's my cat, Calvin. When I look down I see a dark, liquid-y substance on my arm. I get up and turn my very bright lights on. It only takes a few seconds for my eyes to ajust.That's wierd.

I look down at my arm a gain and its bleeding!! Stupid cat!! My blood drips down and I smell something really good. It smelled like chocolate and strawberries. YUM!! I didn't kno where the smell was coming from, but eyes always looked back at my arm. My stomach growls. Wow I was hungry.

I go to the bathroom to wash my arm off. When I got back I found that there was blood on my sheets. I told my self i'd get it later. It was wierd though.

Can cats really do that much damage??

CHAPTER 5

UGH!! I got in to bed at eight that night. My mom had just had a talk with me about my eating habbits for the day.

I had three bowls of cereal for breakfast, two sandwiches and three bags of chips for lunch, and four helping of chicken and rice casserole. I know, thats alot. But I was still hungry!! To prove my mental point my stomach growled.

I sighed and fell asleep.

I woke up at one in the morning, with something in my mouth. I spat it out and went to turn on my light. I turn around and gasped. "OH MY LORD!!" I yelled. I stood listening to the ring of my voice. It sounded so beutiful. I waited listening. I heard Anderson move in his bed but didn't wake up. How did I hear that??

My bed was torn apart!! Well, my sheets were anyway. They were in little strands all over my bed. How?? It was impossible. I could never do that. I wasn't strong enough!!

I go to the bathroom to see if i'm really awake.

I put my hands under the running water and splashed my face with it. I grabbed a towel and wiped my face. I look up into the mirror. I gasp again. "No way that's me!!" I said in a voice that didn't sound anything like me. The voice was the most mesmerizing voice i've ever heard. It was beutiful, just like the face staring back at me.

I knew I was dreaming when I stared into the eyes of the un-known person. She was pale white. White as a ghost. Her eyes were a golden, milky, brown, and she was beutiful. More beutiful than any of the girls in the magazines. A thought accured to me. 

I looked down. "OH MY GOD!!!" I yelled again. This time I didn't care who heard me. I was skinny!! Not that I wasn't before, I just wasn't this skinny!! My clothes were practally falling off my body, I'd lost so much wieght!!

I went back to my room and threw what was left of the covers over me and tried to go back to sleep.

Tomarrow is the second Monday after my party. That means school. What if I look like that at school??

I shuddered asleep to that troubleing thought.

CHAPTER 6

I woke up the next morning and ran to the bathroom. I was normal. I looked exactly how I looked yesturday!!

I was a little dissapionted but happy. Dissapionted because It would be nice to be beutiful for a day, just to see how people would react.

I was glad because I didn't have to go to school with evryone staring at me all day. I hate being the center of attention!!

Once at school, Kenzie comes up to me and says, "I know how much you like him so I thought you should know. Alex and Jenna go out!!"

My heart did a backflip but I didn't show any emotion on my face. "How'd It happen??" I asked

"FaceBook," she says. "I don't know all the details but thats basically it." She gives me this look like I'm about to explode. "Are you okay??"

"I'm fine." I tried to smile, I don't think I did a very good job. "I'm fine." I said again. She walks away unconvinced.

So he picked her. She's beutiful but really?? She's totally different from him!! She's one of the most quietest person on the planet. She can be loud but she's not. She's not that crazy, either. He is the most craziest person ever!! He's also perverted. He's funny.

Alex and Jenna walk in the room. My heart did another backflip.

There cute together though, as much as I don't wanna admit it. I can't deny that.

"Hey Jenna," I said with a smile on my face. I don't think it was very convincing though. "Heard the news. Congrats, guys!!"

"Sammy," Jenna says with the look Kenzie had. "Come here." I follow her to the bathroom.

"What's up??" I say confused. What was going on??

"I'm sorry!! I know how much you like him, I should never said yes but I like him too, and couldn't miss the oprotunity. I'm Sorry!!" She said really fast looking at the floor.

"I'm not mad." I say. She looks up at me. "I'm happy for you. You shouldn't base who you go out with over who I like!! It wouldn't fair to you or me!! I know you like him and thats what matters. Go out with who ever you want!!"

"You really mean that?? Your still gonna be my friend even though I stole your crush??" she said uncertainly.

I laughed out loud. I knew it was wrong but how could she think that?? "I'm not gonna ruin our friendship over a boy!!" I said, still laughing. "Honestly, my friend or not, I wouln't care who he went out with!! He's just a guy, I'll get over it!!"

She starts laughing too. "Ya I guess your right!! Lets go to class!!" We walk off to class together, laughing.

She will never know how much it hurt.

I wish I was still beutiful.

CHAPTER 7

It's been a couple weeks now. It's Thanksgiving break at my school.

I've gotten used to all the strange things. Every night I wake up at one o'clock, being the most beutiful thing on the planet. Now, I'm not vain, it's the truth.

Every night I wake up, go to the bathroom to look at myself and make sure this isn't all a big dream. It's not. Then I go out the door and into the woods.

I don't know what I do in the woods. It gets blury then black, then I wake up at seven in my bed.

Despite my lack of sleep, I'm happy and not tired all the time!!

My parents don't kno a thing. I don't tell them anything because they would make me go to see a shrink!! They don't need proof!! Although when the time comes, I'm gonna tell them. Then show them proof. I'd make them stay in my room until one in the morning, and show them. They might take me to the doctor. I don't know how the transformations effect my body, but it wouldn't help to have a doctor do tests on me to find out!!

Jenna and Alex haven't been acting like boyfriend and girlfriend lately. They stay two feet away from each other at all times!! They do hug every now and then but its for a second and they barely touch.

I don't know what to think about that.

Alex used to stare at me all through class anytime he can. I could feel his eyes on me. I'd look at him and he'd turn away after two seconds of us looking at each other. He still dose. And Jenna dosen't mind.  

Jenna always asks me if i'm feeling any jelousy at all and I keep saying no. She gets these looks on her face every time. It looks like she just faileed a mission that was really important. It was wierd.

I'm a master at wierd. These past couple of weeks have been the wierdest experience of my life. I was not expecting it to get any wierder, but it did.

It was the first day of Thanksgiving break. Great. A break thats all I need.  I was being sarcastic. Break means nothing to do, and Thanksgiving means giving up my room to my grandmother.

I have to sleep with Wilder. I don't mind it, though. Wilder's my favorite brother. And he's 6 and is cuter than a button!!

I remembered About my mid-night travels. CRAP!! How am I going to do that!!! Will he wake up?? I was really quiet. The door I go out of every night usually squeaks, but I dosen't when I go out of it. Will that make a difference??

I didn't know, but I gess I was going to find out.

My grandmother just got here. Let the madness begin!!

I go upstairs to greet the family. "Hey, Nana!!" I say when I see her.

"Sammy!! Come here and give your Nana a hug!!" she yells. I walk over there and she squeezes me has hard as she can!! Thats the only thing I don't like about  Nana. "How've ya been girl?? How old are you now?? 11?? What grade are you in??"

"Umm accally, Nana, I'm thirteen and in--"

"THIRTEEN!!! Man, I'm gettin old aren't I?? Oh well, Everyone dose it eventually." This is what I meant by madness.

"Ya I guess." I wait for the right moment and escape to my room. I say good-bye to my very nice comfortable bed, and my radio-- I wont be back in this room for a week!!!

"Hey, where am I sleepin?!?!" I heard Nana yell. Time to get my iTouch, and chapstick, and my favorite cross necklace that Aussie gave me for my 12th birthday.

"In Sammy's room. Come on." I heard my dad say. I grabbed my stuff and dumpped it in the boy's room where I'll be sleeping.

"That's nice of her." Nana commented.

"I was kinda forced, too." I said as she got to my room.

"Well still. This is a nice room. I like the walls. How's the bed??" She said.

"It's comfy." I said wishing I was somewhere else.

"If your lieing to me, and my back hurts tomarrow... I'll just have to do some thing to you!!"

Woo scary!! "I'll keep that in mind." I go watch T.V., but my brothers are playing the X-box so I go upstairs. Theres a football game on. I sigh. What is there to do now?? Then I get an idea.

I went back down stairs and grabbed my iTouch. Then I went on the back porch and sat down. I turned on my music and layed down.

I was a fairly cloudy day with patches of sun here and there. While I was sitting there, the sun came out on me.

It was so warm!! I look down because I saw something shiny.

It was me!! I was wearing a tank top and short shorts (It was very warm for fall), and I was glittering!! Not enough that people would notice right away but if someone was really looking at me they would notice it. I tried to remember the last time I played with glitter. I couldn't. Even if it was last night, there was no way it could get all over my body like this!! Holy CRAP!! 

The sun went away and so did the sparkly-ness. Wow. That was really wierd!!

I went back inside, not wanting to do that again.

This was it. I was ready for night to come. I needeed to escape to where ever I go at night. I still wasn't sure what would happen, but I was willing to risk it.

My parents tuck us in and I fall asleep right away.

I woke up. This is it. I hope Wilder and Anderson (they were sharring a room) were heavy sleepers!!

I sat up and slowly and put the covers under me as carefully as I could. Then I jumped off the bunk-bed and landed with a low thud. Wow. Never done that before.

I turn around. They didn't even stir. I went with my instinks. I ran as fast as I could. Man I'm fast!! I could run faster than a human thats for sure. The plants sped around me. I could see every detail of everything-- even though it was one in the morning.

I got to the woods and... I woke up in bed. Dang!! why can't I see that?? One day I'm gonna see what I do there!!

I decided that I would go to the woods-- during the day-- and try and remember things.

I snuck out and followed the trail. I remember leaving marks on the trees and was going to look for those when I got to the woods.

I got to the mouth of the woods and walked strait ahead, expecting everything to go blury and disapear, but it didn't. I was glad.

I saw three marks on one tree then another three marks on the next one about 5 feet ahead. I followed the markings.

About what felt like hours later I decided to turn back. My parents were probly looking for me. Before I could act on my decision, I saw the next marking. It was different. 

I walked to it. It was an arrow. I looked to where it was pointing. It was far away but I was sure It was a house of some kind. Could this be it?? I walked a little faster.

After a mile, I finally reach it. It was a huge house!! It was all white.

I heard something moving inside. I paused, but decided to follow my instinks again, and walked up the stairs.

I knocked three times. Then a methodic voice said "Come in." I opened the door. I was not perpared for what I saw.

 CHAPTER 8

I walked in and saw all white. Everything was white. The couch, the walls, the carpet, everything!!

"SAMMY!! I wasn't expecting you today. Especally during the day," the same methodic voice said. It sounded a little like I did at night.... She looked in-humanly beutiful!! Like I did at night.... "What brings you here??"

"Confusion..." I said.

"What are you confused about?? I thought we explained everything," she said.

"Confusion like who are you and why do I come here every night??" She looked at my shocked. Then six other in-humanly beutiful people came down the stairs to the left. They came fast. Almost as fast as I felt every night... Holy crap!! Whatever they are... i'm truning into!!!

"What are you?? How'd you do that?? What's going on??" I said. I was on the verge of hyper-ventilating then I suddenly felt really calm. I looked at the tall, blonde one next to the short, dark haired one that was talking to me. I don't know why I looked at him, I just knew he did it. "Why'd you do that??"

"You where about to pass out. I could feel that much." He said that in the most beutiful voice i've ever heard. I almost fell over.

"Feel?? How could you feel that I was about to pass out??" Which I was, but for some reason I couln't feel anything other than calm.

"Samantha, are you okay?? You look as pale as us..." A man with bronze hair and golden eyes said.

"Ya, You don't look so good," said the brunet next to him. They both looked familiar... I couln't place a finger on it.

"What are you?? I need to know now!! My parents are probly searching for me. I've been out here for a long time..." I trailed off. I was remembering something.

We were laughing. All of us, in this room. Just sitting and talking.

I came back to the present. "Sammy... It's us. You know your family... Don't you remember??" The bronze haired man said again.

"I remember laughing. Right here. But I don't know you... This is where I've been coming at night isn't it?? I couldn't remember..." I trailed off remembering everything. The first night I came here.

"Samantha, Im your father. You can call me Edward, though, if it's to wierd." The bronze haired man said.

"I'm your mom. Bella. I don't care what you call me as long as your back!!!" The brunett woman next to Edward said. She pulled me into a bear-hug.

I was confused until they explained everything. "Your a half -vampire," Edward said. "I'm a full vampire. Bella was human when she had you. Thus, if you know how babies are born, you can see how your half."

"Ya It was very shocking. It had never happened before. Well It has just no one recorded it." A man I later knew as Carlise said. He's me grandfather- My biological grandfather. Esme is my grandmother.

I learned alot. Alice is my aunt. She was the short dark haired one. Jasper is her husband. The tall blonde one. Rosalie is my other aunt. She is the most beutiful, gorgous thing on the planet. Emmet Is her husband. He's the strongest thing on the planet!!

I slapped back to the present. This time I did fall over.Only I didn't hit the floor, Edward caught me. "Wow. That was wierd!!" I said. And It was.

"Okay so what happened??" Emmet said.

"Well, I just remembered everything that has happend to me at night!!" I repeated what I just saw.

"Well you got that right!!" Emmet yelled.

Alice got a blank look on her face and some how, I knew that look. "What happened?? What is she seeing??"

Edward (who can read minds- I know cool right??) said, "Your parents. There gonna look for you in ten minutes. We need to get you home."

"Home?? In ten minutes?? It took me a very long time to get here!! How can I get back in ten minutes??" I said in disbelief.

"You can run." Emmet said, "Your pretty fast."

"Maybe but not during the day!!"

"Try," Esme said, "You might be surprised."

"Grr." I said, "Okay... Hopefully I'll remember tonight!!" I walked out the door and ran as fast as I could.

I thought I was flying!! I was moving faster than I ever had!! I flew through the trees and in, what took me what felt like hours to get there, only took me a couple minutes to get back.

I sneeked through the back door. I wasn't even out of breath!! I went to the bathroom first to see if I looked different.

I didn't.

I went to me room grabbed my iTouch and sat on my bed. The door opened. It was mom.

"Have you been here all day??" She asked.

"Yep," I said. I wasn't going to tell her I was with my biological family that just happend to be vampires.

"Oh well, dinners ready." She left the room.

I was happy.

Eating dinner with Nana and the family gave me time to think.

I finally knew what was going on. I didn't have to wrack my brains trying to figure it out either!! Though I couldn't belive it-- I was half-vampire!! I will try and figure out more tonight.

And them my parents said, "Bed time!!" And I couldn't wait to go.

I fell asleep fast, then woke up beutiful. "Time to go find out more," I said as quietly as I could. And ran into the woods.

This time It didn't fade away.

CHAPTER 9

Time seemed to fly by, now it's the end of the two week Thanksgiving break.

I learned alot about my self. Like my history. I remember the night clearly...

"So how come I got separated from you in the first place?" I asked. They were hesatant but answered anyway.

"I knew this would come." Edward said. "You were born at a very... difficult time, I guess I could say. The Volturi (A very powerful family of vampires that used to enforce the vampire rules.) were keeping an eye on Bella because she was human and knew to much about us. When you were hunting with Jacob and your mother--"

"Wait who's Jacob??" I asked.

"He's my best friend." Bella said. "I've known him forever."

"Where is he now??"

"He's rounding up his pack." She saw that I was confused. "He's a werewolf," She explained.

"COOL!!!" I yelled. I saw the looks on thier faces. "Continue."

"So you were hunting with Jacob and Bella, and Irina saw you. Before you ask, she's an old family friend, who's now dead because she gave the wrong information when the Volturi came. Irina had a grudge against the wolves becuase they killed... a bad vampire... That Irina liked. We do not forgive that." He hesitated. "Alice arranged a very complicated scheme that went wrong at some point. She got to the clearing after we sent you away with Jacob."

"I sent you away thinking we would all die," Bella said. "My shield was around all of the wolves so he couldn't keep up with the fight that broke out. Then Alice came after Demetri, Jane, and Alec died. Which was okay.... He gave you to a hospital, and went back to the fight."

"But when he got there," Carlisle said. "the fight was over. Alice and Jasper were there and Jasper smoothed out everyone's anger."

"Alice showed us Nahuel (whos another half-breed) and the Volturi couldn't belive it." Emmet said. "Then Jacob went back to the hospital and couldn't find you."

"You already had a another family." Alice said. "Aparently you managed to turn yourself into a human new-born for them."

"I don't remember any of this." I said. "I knew I was different and came from another family because i'm nothing like my parents. Well them, anyway. But I never thought this!!"

Bella's cell phone rang. "Oh my god!! It's Jacob!!" She opened the phone. "Jacob!! Youll never guess what I'm doing!!" She paused. "That's great!!... I'll see you soon!!... Bye." She closed the phone. "He found Seth. Leah is aging again. He and Seth will be here tomarrow." She said it all with a huge grin on her face. "Sammy, Jacob promised to protect you no matter what happened. He thinks he broke that promise. You have to think of a way to convince him that taking you away was protecting you. Think you can do that??"

"Umm... Yes. I'm a pretty good lier." I smiled. "I haven't really been 'safe' at all. I cracked my skull when I was 8 and ever sence then I've broken arms every year. Well... It's kinda hard to exlpain. I broke my head in June, after third grade. Then that same year in October (forth grade) I fractured my right arm. Then fith grade I didn't really do anything... OH I sprained my ankle. Then sixth grade I fractured my left arm in October then broke it (cast and all) in March of sixth, And haven't broken anything since." I saw looks on their faces and started laughing my butt off!!

"Wow. Are you sure your okay??" Carlisle (who's a doctor) asked. "That's a lot to go through."

"Im sorta fine. The head injury messed me up a little. My dad says It's all in my head and I'm fine, but I've never been the same since..."

"Right," He says.

"Well your still gonna have to say that your safe. He's gonna freak when he sees you!!" Bella says. "But now It's 6:50, You need to get back home!!"

"Okay," I said not wanting to go. "I'll see you all tomarrow." And I ran outside.

Now it's the day Jacob comes. I go to the Cullen's (their last name) house and wait.

I hear something outside. Then hear heavy foot steps to the door. Carlisle goes to open the door. "Hey, Jacob. We have a visitor that we haven't see in a few years. She dosen't remember you but you will definintly remember her. You too, Seth."

"What are you talking about Carlisle??"  A husky voice said. It sounded so familiar I almost jumpped. Then the door opens a little more and I see a face that I would recognize anywhere, even though I never remember seeing it.

CHAPTER 10

"Hey, Jacob!!" Bella said and went over to hug him. "How was your trip??"

"Great." He said looking at me. He was confused, I could tell that much from his face. "How're you??"

"I've been great. Way happier than when you left." He looked at her.

"Why??" He looked at me again.

"Samantha's back," she whispered in his ear. 

His eyes widened and then ran towards me.

I got a little scared. This guy is like seven feet tall and very muscular, and he was running at me fast.

"Sammy!!" He yelled then pulled me into a giant hug.

"Can't breath, Jake." That sounded really familiar for some reason.

He laughed in my ear. It was a gorgous laugh.

I saw Seth over his sholder and smiled. He waved.

Wow. There was a really strange feeling. It all felt right. Like I should be here and always here. I was the happiest I've ever been in my life. I thought I was going to explode!!!!

"Hey, Sammy," Alice said. She had that look in her eyes and I knew what was coming. "It's time to go."

"Ugh. Why dose night have to be so short??" I said my good-byes and told everyone I'd be back tonight and ran into the woods.

I didn't realize that today was the start of a new begining.

CHAPTER 11

I woke up feeling well rested, even though I stayed up to meet Jacob. He was a nice kid.

I opened my eyes to a very bright light. That was wierd considering my room has no window and is pitch black 24\7.

"What's going on?" I said, but it didn't sound like me. It sounded like the side of me that was not supposed be here right now.

My eyes ajusted to the light and I saw Wilder standing over me with a flashlight. "Who are you? Tell me before I go get my mom!!" He said fiercly.

"Wilder, come on. It's me, Sammy." I was scarred that he would panic and run off screaming.

"You look like her, but you don't," I could tell he was confused. "Come on. I'm taking you to Mom."

I sighed and went with him.

When we got upstairs and Mom turned around and saw me. She gasped. "SAMANTHA!!! What happened to you??" She ran over to me to inspect me.

The way she said it made me think this is bad thing. I was the flawless girl that I always thought I was. I didn't care how I looked. It was mind boggling!!

"Mom," I said trying to calm her down. "I'm fine. I know exactly what's happing-- sorta. I'll tell you tomarrow morning."

"Why tomarrow??" She was looking paniky.

"Because that's when I have proof of what's happining. Look Mom, It's okay. I'm the same person. I just look different." She wasn't calming down so I jropped it.

I walked around her and got my breakfast ready. I felt eyes starring at me.

"Icky," I muttered under my breath. With my new eyes I could see all the little details of the food I was eating. It looked nasty!! I ate it anyway. I was hungry.

When I was done, I went downstairs and changed into the boring uniform we're required to wear.

I was then that I relised that I lost a ton of wieght!! It looked like I lost at least 10lbs!!

I ran upstairs to my parents room. I got on the scale. 110. I lost 25 pounds.

Wow.

I went back downstairs and took a good look at my clothes. They looked smaller than I remembered from yesturday.

Alice.

Of course!!! She told me this would happen eventually. "Spending time with your real family will bring out the real you sooner or later." She had said. Looks like it chose to come sooner rather than later.

Alice had a thing for fashon. She must have tailored my clothes last night. She wasn't there most of the night. But how did she know that it would be today?? She can't see me. My future is a blur to her.

I looked at the clock. 7:30. I have to go.

I went upstairs and looked around. Everyone was gone.

"We're riding the bus." I jumpped. I was Payton. He was standing right behind me.

"Oh. Okay." Thats all I could say. Then I remembered how I looked.

I ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. It wasn't as bad as night. It was pretty close though.

My face, body, and hair were the same, but my eyes were different.

I went back out in the living and sat down. I will have to go to school like this. The flawless, perfect me!! I would've started crying if Payton wasn't right there.

"Lets go." I said at eight.

And we walked to the bus stop.

CHAPTER 12

We got to the bus stop later than usual so everyone else was there when we arrived.

I heard four gasps as each one saw me. "Damn girl!! What happened to you??" Sterlin asked. He's my nezt door nighbor and he's in all of my classes.

"Oh, shut up!!" The sound of my voice made everyone gasp again. "I don't know what happened." I said looking away and sitting on the curb.

"Yes she dose," Payton said. "She just wont tell us."

I sighed. If this how it's going to be on the bus, I'd rather run to school.

Right as I was about to act on that idea, The bus came. I sighed again. Here it goes, I thought.

I kept my head down when I got on. I was wearing a hoodie so it was a little easier.

I sat in the first empty seat I could find, the only problem was the next stop.

A fith grader who liked me even before the flawless transformation occured got on.

"Hey," He said in one of the most annoying voices I'd ever heard.

I waved. If I say anything he'd freak out.

"How was your Thanksgiving??" He asked.

I shrugged.

He left me alone then.

It was time to get off the bus. UGH!! This is going to be the hard part. Hoodies aren't allowed in school and the teachers really enforce that rule.

I'm going to have to face it at some point, why not now??

I took off my hoodie and walked in the building.

No one has noticed anything yet. I sigh in relief.

I got into the class room safely.

"Hey, Sammy."

I turn around to see Kenzie jumping up and down. She stops when she sees my face. "Wow. How??" Apparently thats all she could say.

"I think my parents put something in my Thanksgiving dinner." I said. I came up with that off the top of my head. She got wide-eyed when heard my voice.

I didn't know if something like that existed but she wont look it up.

"Okay... Well I have good news!!" She started jumping up and down again.

"What is it, don't make me wait!!" I said.

"They broke up!!" I didn't know exactly who she was talking about, but I had a hunch and I hoped it was right!!

"Who?" I asked slowly.

"Alex and Jenna, Duh!!" My hunch was right!!  "And guess what else I found out!!"

I was smiling really big, despite myself. "If I guess it will be so far off it wont even be funny!! What??"

"They were fake dating!! I don't know all the details but I'll keep you posted." She skipps off to talk to Syl.

WHAT?!?!

Just then Syl came to talk to me. "Wow. Kenzie was right! Oh well don't let the boys see you!!" Then she walks off.

I was lost in thought and not paying attention to anything.

Then the bell rang.

First period just started.

I looked around and everyone was in their seats.

When I looked behind me, I met Alex's eyes. He was starring at me with his mouth open and eyes wide.

I half-smiled then turned back around trying to get my heart rate back to normal.

The day went by great!!

Lunch was a little annoying. Everyone was starring at me. Turning back around to eat when I looked up.

I sit at the front of the room in fourth period so all eyes were on me.

Fith period-- my favorite period-- was ackward since I sit with a guy that I know likes me, Cody, and a guy that used to like me (who happends to be one of my best friends boyfriend), Edyl.

But other than the ackwardness it was a great day!!

I was walking home from the bus stop with Payton and Sterlin. They were making jokes about me. I didn't care. I'm not really paying attention anyway.

The day went by fast and soon it was bed time.

"You wanna know why I'm like this??" I asked my parents after every one was long asleep.

"Yes." They said together.

"Well, your about to find out."

I told them to follow me and we set off to the woods.

CHAPTER 13

"Samantha, where are we going??" My asked half way to the big white house.

"To a place where you will find the truth." I said for the millionth time. "And they may not know your coming yet but they will, Edward has a knack for that." I smiled.

"Who's Edward?? He's not your boyfrind is he, because if so I'll--"

"Dad, he's not my boyfriend!!!! That'd be icky!!" Just thinking about that almost made me puke!!

"Were almost there," I said. I knew this place like the back of my hand. I'd been here so many times, It really is my second home!!

"WOW," Both my parents said when they could see the house. "Is this where you became... like that??" My mom asked.

"No. This where I learned about what I was- and still is. Ive been like this since my birthday, but only at night. I come here every night at one in the morning, no ever cought me becuase i'm really quiet. Then I come back just before seven."

"Thats why your so tired all the time," my dad said.

"No, I don't need as much sleep as I used to." Just then the door opened.

It was Jake. "Hey, Sam. Sam's parents," He said in his rough voice. "Come on in."

My parents were awe-struck by the eight flawless creatures in front of them. "Don't try to flirt," Mom said to Dad. I laughed.

Alice came up to me. "What are they doing here??" She whispered. I could tell everyone was listening so I spoke aloud.

"I was this person when I got out of bed this morning." Everyone had there mouths open in shock. "I don't know how or why, but I was. Everyone saw me. I had no choice but to go to school, so," I took a deep breath, "everyone saw me there too."

"Sammy, You know theres a risk of exposure now right?? That someone may find out about us??" Edward said.

"Yes, I know. But how could they. For all they know I could've had plastic surgry done. Thats probly what there gonna start saying tomarrow!!"

"Samantha, what are you talking about?? Risk of exposure??" Mom was very confused. So was Dad by the look on his face.

I took a deep breath and launched into my life's story.

"You expect me to belive this?!?!" Mom said when I was finished.

"Yes, I do. You see the proof, it's right in front of your eyes!! Just look at all the faces in this room." I said to her, almost with an atitude.

She knew everything, so did Dad. She knew that I wasn't her child, she knew what I was, she knew everything.

Jacob never let go of me through the whole story. I was starting to sweat. My Dad knew the reason why, but he still didn't like it. I could see it.

"This is proposturous!!" My dad said, but his lips weren't moving.

"What did you say, Dad??" I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy.

"I didn't say anything," He said confused again.

"What did you think?? Did think that this was proposturous??"

"Umm... Yes." He finally said. "How did you know??"

"I guess I have alittle bit of Edward in me." I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back.

"And I can't read your mind so you have Bells in you to." He went over to hug her. He didn't mind that I called him Edward, he was fine with it. He understood. Calling two people "Dad" would be confusing.

"Wow, so you can read minds too??" Dad asked shocked.

"And put her thoughts into your head." Alice said.

"How do you... Oh the thing with Anderson." I recalled the night after my party when I asked Anderson to get my iPod with my mind.

"What... Nevermind. Try it." Mom said.

Testing testing 123, can ya'll hear me??

"Wow." Everybody said it exept for Alice who said "Mm hmm,"

"So everyone heard me?? Cool. I can do that when ever I want!!" I said, really happy.

"Except for school," Edward was quick to put in.

"I'll try. I still don't know if people will hear everything I think or If I can control it!!" I was a little scarred about that part. I remembered Alex and Jenna.

"Lets try it." Edward said came to stand in front of me.

"Ok."

"Try not sending me a message first."

"Ok." I said again. Can you hear me?? I tried sending him one. Can you hear me now??

"Yes, I can." Edward said.

"But you didn't hear the first one, thats the one that I didn't want you to hear!!" I said with a smile on my face.

We went home and I went to bed while my parents stayed awake talking about what just happened.

CHAPTER 14

It's almost Christmas!! A couple months have passed. 

I've learned that I can hear peoples thoughts but they can only hear mine when I want them to. It's pretty cool!! I've tried It with a couple of my friends. They all thought they were going insane!! It was super funny!

Everyone treats me almost the same way they did the first day of the flawless me. They would turn when I passed, stop dead in there tracks when they saw me looking in the direction they're at, and the hallways are vertually silent when I go to my locker. Some things never change.

When I got there, there was a buzz around the school.

It was the last full week until break. Everyone was happy!!

"Hey, Kenzie!!" I said grabing her waist to try scare the crap out of her. It worked.

She screamed at the top of her lungs and turned to give me the evil look, which only made me laugh even harder. "Why'd you do that??"

"'Cause... It's... FUNNY!!!" I said between laughing fits. My stomache started hurting and tears were in my eyes. Get under control Samantha, I thought. I took a deep breath.

"Did you scare her??" Syl asked when she saw me and Kenzie laughing. I hadn't realized that.

"Yes!! I screamed louder than usual too!!" We all sat there laughing until the bell rang.

The day went by as expected.

People starring at me at lunch, aceing all the tests I got back (I honestly don't know when I got so smart!!), and soon It was 6th period.

I walked in and sat in my usual spot. Second to last table with Kenzie, Jenna, and Alex (wink, wink).

We had a test today so most of the class was, naturally, talking and cheating. Exept most of our table.

Jenna and I never cheat. Alex coppied off Jenna and Kenzie coppied me.

When the test was over (I was the first one done), I got up and handed it in.

Suddenly, the whole class was up there!! I was trying to get through the hord of people when someone pushed me out.

Instinctively, I looked behind me to see who it was, not watching were I was going and next thing I know I fall flat on top of Alex!!!

We were both breathing hard when it happend. My hand was touching the skin of his arm and then his eyes got cloudy.

I looked into his mind, as I'd done so many times before, and saw my life pass before my eyes!

I saw Bella. Only she was covered in blood. This is the day I was born!! I realized.

I remembered looking into Jacob's eyes while Rosalie was feeding me. It made me love Jacob more than I had before. I saw the look on his face, just like the first day I became a half-blood, he looked like a blind man seeing the sun.

I saw other Vampires then. I remember tallking to a girl named Sabina and her showing pictures in my head just like I could do.

I saw the Volturi when they were advancing towards my family and friends.

Then it went blank.

Then I saw myself. Only I was only like 5 or 6. I was getting yelled at for writing a cus word on the back of my spelling test.

Then I saw myself almost drowning ay Murtle Beach when I was seven.

I saw myself screaming at the top of my lungs when I had a major head injury.

I saw absolutly everything about my life that I couldn't remember before. That I didn't even know happened!!

Everything that had happened to me up until this point of my life. I remember Every single thought about Alex, The feeling I had when I heard Alex and Jenna were now dating. Does he know?? Is he doing this?? I certainly can't do it!!

Then I came back to the presant.

I was looking into his eyes, Still flat on top of him. He had a different look on his face now. Like he did just hear and see my life.

"Sorry, someone pushed me." I said. Had only a second gone by?? I got off of him and helped him up.

He cleared his throught and said, "It's ok." That was it. But he looked at me like.... There was no word. None in my vocabulary anyway.

We realized the whole entire class was looking at us and we both sat down.

Sometimes I'd see him look at me and I'd look back, and he'd look away again.

After class, I was getting my stuff together.

Alex was the only other person in the room.

Meet me at Hickman's playground at ten. Said a voice in my head. It had Alex's voice.

I looked up. Don't be late. He said.

His lips never moved.

CHAPTER 15

I was thinking about that short conversation with Alex on the bus ride home. He can't be. He just can't!! Half-vamps are rare as it is.How can two be living in the same town?? Maybe there not as rare as I thought. Edward will want to hear this.

"So you think Alex is half-vampire??" Carlisle asked after I told them everything.

"Is there any other explination?? I mean who or what else can do that??" I said. Now i'm confused.

"Theres only one way to find out." Alice said with a huge smile on her face, as always. "Go."

"No." Jacob said. "Come on. Sending her there to the unknown?? This could be a trap for all we know!!"

"Your right." I said sadly. Then the perfect argument poped in my head. "It's just... I've never met anyone like me. And it would be a great oprotunity!! Maybe he could teach me things, maybe he could teach how to not be so obvious in school like him. I don't know. He's probably the olny person I'll ever meet that accually knows exactly what I'm going through!!" I looked at each of them with my sypathy eyes that I used to use all the time to get what I wanted as a kid.

"She's got a point." Emmet said.

Jacob sighed, then looked at Edward. "Maybe..."

"That could work.... Sam, what would you say to bringing Jacob along??"

"Umm..." I looked at Jacob. He was giving me the same face I just used. I couldn't help but to smile at him. "Yea. Sure. I don't know how Alex will take it but he'll live wont he??"

And so we set off.

9:59. Thats what Jacob's watch said.

I was hanging on to Jacob for dear life!! I was on him motorcycle. Edward was against it but then Bella reminded him that she used to ride on it all the time.

We had one minute left as we pulled into the the school.

As I got off the bike I heard something. Paceing. "Jake," I said. He looked down at me. "Do you hear that??"

"Ya. He's not very patent." He said shaking his head.

We walked around the corner and saw a shape walking back and forth in front of the swing set. "Lets go."

He looked up as we approched. I stopped dead in my tracks.

He was the most beutiful thing i'd ever seen in my life time. His hair was perfectly straight even thought he told his hair was to thin to strighten. Just like mine. His eyes were deep brown, again, just like mine. He was just... wow.

I recovered and went to stand by him. "Who's he??" He said in a voice that made me melt.

I cleared my throught like an idiot. "Um, This is Jacob. My parents don't trust me enough to let me come by myself."

He nodded. "Right. Well, we have a lot to talk about don't we??" He looked at me with those eyes.

Sam, Jacob thought to me. Are you gonna be gaga over him this whole time??

No, I thought back to him. I'll somehow get used to it!!

You know I can hear you right?? This time it was Alex thought talking.

I gasped. "I guess I should get used to that, huh?" Good thing it was dark. He would've seen my embaressment if it wasn't.

"I think so." He said. "Right well...as you can probably tell I'm half-vampire. Just like you. One question though, How long??"

"Well..." I did the math in my head. "Bout four months. Since September."

"Oh so not very long. Thought so. So how do you look like that??"

"Well, Alice said It came from spending time with my real family. I just woke up and looked in the mirror. I couldn't belive it! I thought I only happened at night."

We were sitting in the swings now, slowly swinging back and forth. "Huh. Well I guess I knew that." He said. He saw the confusion on my face and explained. "Do you remember 6th period at all?? That was me."

"I knew it wasn't me!! I may be able to do things but that I can't."

"Well, Every half-vampire has a couple skills. Its like... Ok. All half-vamps can talk to people with their mind, as you know. But theres more. Like I can see peoples lives when they touch me. You have another mind power type thing. Do you have any idea what that could be??"

"No. I don't think I've ever done anything else. If I have I don't remember it."

"Hm. I'm going to go into your head and try and figure it out. Is that ok??"

"Yea sure. Do what ever."

It was strange having someone else in my head. Aparently this is how other people feel when I get inside their head. Wierd.

"Wow. Your mind is fasinating!!" He said. "Wow."

"Could we get on with this?!?!" Jacob asked.

And he thinks I'm not very patent!! HA!! Alex thought.

He just dosen't like you very much. You know why, too. He imprinted on me, of course he dosn't like you. I thought back, defending him.

Yea. "Ok well I found it." He said talking out loud again. "You can manipulate people's minds. Make them see, hear, and think just the way you want them to!!"

Even Jacob couldn't descise his shock. "Your kidding!!" He yelled.

"Nope. She can do it. And more...." He looked at me like scientist anylizing his expiriment. It made me feel self-conscience.

"Well what is it??" Jacob asked not even bothering to hide his hatered.

"No idea." He said. "I can only get one at a time!"

Something told me he wasn't just in my head for special powers. "Jake what time is it?? Mom wanted us to be home at 11." I said lying. Hopefully he wouldn't catch it.

"It is... 10:45." He said.

"We've been here that long??" I said shocked. "Wow."

"Time flyies when your learning about your self." Alex said.

"About that. You saw my life. Now I wanna see yours." I said.

"Um. How??"

"Talk. Tell me. Duh!!"

"Ok.... Well my mom died in birth and my dad ran off when he found out she was pergnant. I got that from when I touched her while she was dieing. I crawled along the streets trying to find food...but instead I found Mom. Well my human mom, anyway. She raised me as a human even though she knew I was different. I began to think like a human, act like a human, look like a human. By the time I was 3 I was comepleatly human. I couldn't remember anything about it...until I turned 13 that is. Then when I touched my mom one day I saw her life. I saw what I was. She knew what happened and exlplained it to me. Then I looked up other things about it. I found out about the powers-- my powers, and couldn't belive it. And now I'm here." He concluded.

He looked back at me. I don't kno what he saw. I was sad, and sypathetic, but also happy that everything turned out alright for him. "Wow." I'd been saying that alot lately. "I'm sorry. Thats kinda sad, but happy at the same time." I was sounding like a comepleate idiot.

"Its ok though because my dad sounds like a jerk!! Even though I know he wasn't, I just don't want my dad to be a guy that runs from the girl he loves just because he got her pregnant. I will never do that!!"

"Um, Sam. Its 11:10 you need to get back home. Besides, you need sleep."

"Ok. But you'll come back tomarrow right??" He looked at me with hopeful eyes.

I got an idea. "How far dose the mind comunication thingy go??"

"As far as you want I guess."

"Well i'll talk to my family and i'll see if you can meet them personally. Then i'll do the mind thing and tell you what there decistion is."

He seemed thrilled. He smiled a smile that knocked the breath out of me. "I'd like that, thanks."

"No prob!!"

We set off to tell The whole family what just happened.

And the proposition.

CHAPTER 16

Austen knows everything. I mean she is my best friend right?? Why not tell her?? 

She did laugh when I told her, though. Who wouldn't??

"Your what??" She laughs, but there's an edge in her voice. "And why should I believe this??"

"Because, have I ever lied to you?? Plus, If I was lying then I would be laughing!! You know me, I may be an awesome lier but I could never ever lie to my friends."

"You gotta point.... Where's the proof though?? I'm not going to believe something so impractical until I have proof!!"

"Fine. I'll show you the proof. When is the next time I can come over??"

When I saw Austen, I could tell she was a little nervous. Then half a second after I saw her, she saw me. 

Her eyes got really wide then she came over to me. "What the hell happened to you?!?! I know you said you were beautiful but...really?!?!?!"

"Come here before you make an even bigger scene!!" I said agrivated. Once back in her room I turned to her. "Don't do that. I know that it's a lot to take in but don't act like that. It makes me feel... out of place."

She looked at me like I was crazy. "Have you looked in the mirror lately?? Your like... Athena!!! Dont look at me in that tone of voice!!" Then we couldn't help it. We busted up laughing.

"Ok, ok," I said when we calmed down, "I know you wont get used to it quickly, but at leased now you know I wasn't joking or lying."

"Yea, that's true." Then she looked at me. "Can you do anything?? Like do you burn in the sunlight or have cool powers??"

"Well, I don't burn in the sunlight- I'm only half-vamp. I slightly shimmer." I said.

Again, she looked at me like I was crazy. I get that look from her at least once every time I see her. "Shimmer?? Wow, Sam, lay off the shrooms!! You really shimmer?!?!"

"Yes, I do. Full vamps full on glitter!! And as for the second question..." You tell me, I thought to her.

Her eyes got wide for the second time in five minutes. "You mouth didn't move...but I heard your voice... What the hell?!?! Am I going crazy??"

I laughed. "No your not. That's the special talent thing-y!! I can communicate inside the mind!! Isn't it cool?!?!"

"Uh DUH!!! Of course It's cool!! Man, I wish I could get inside Aaron's brain!!"

Aaron Is Austen's new boyfriend. Christian turned out to be a big fat jerk.

"Y'all are dating and from the way you talk about him, in love. There's no reason to get inside his mind!!"

"That's true."

Zoe, Aussie's little sister, walked in. "Hey guys... WOW!! DANG SAMMY!!! Oh well, lets play the Wii!!" She left the room.

"Yes lets," I said, "I can show you my awesomely cool new ninja reflexes I have now!!"

"Now I'm scared!!! But lets go!!"

"Oh yea, I'm amazing!!!" I said when Austen was tired of being beaten.

"Yea yea yea. Gloat all you want, but you technically cheated!!" Austen said very annoyed.

"Hey don't play that card 'cause you'll loose the hand!! Yea don't ask!!" We laughed all the way back to her room for the night.

"OH FISHSTICKS!!!" I said as I remembered the plan for tonight. "Alex was going to meet me in my backyard tonight!!!"

"When do I get to meet the only other vampire you know??"

"He's only half-vampire and I know eight full, and three werewolves so boo ya!! Besides you already know him."

"Yea but I didn't know him as what he is!! Plus, I wanna see him when he looks like you." She got this look on her face.

"You have a boyfriend!!!" I slapped her.

"Not like that!!! I just think it would be an interesting experience..." This time I gave her the "your crazy" look.

"You are finally use words bigger than two sylables!! Congrats!!"

"Oh shut up!! What time are you meeting him??"

"Ten. You know what?? Your right--"

"Wow that has to be a first!!" She said sarcastically.

"Be quiet!! You know I'm joking!! Your comeing with me tonight!!"

"I was JOKING--"

"I don't care. You need to see me in my natural habitat!!"

She groaned. "What time is it??"

"9:45. Time to get ready."

She groaned again.

CHAPTER 17

"Come on, Austen. It's not gonna kill you!!"

"Just in case you don't know, I'm a heavy girl. There's no possible way I'm doing this!!"

We just snuck out through the back door and now I was trying to convince her to jump on my back so we can get there faster. She stuborn, though, so I just gave up.

"Fine," I said. "Would you rather me call someone to pick us up??"

"Yes, please. That would be much easier than giving you a bad back!!!"

"Who do you want to come??" I asked. She's never met my real family, but I told her all about them.

She thought for a minute. "Jacob," she decided.

"Of corse," I muttered as I dialed the phone.

It rang twice then a rough voice answered, "Hello."

"Hey, Jake it's me."

"Oh, hey whats up??"

"Can you come pick us up??"

"Us??"

"Yeah. I thought Austen she meet him."

"Um, hello!! I've already met him!! Koi remember??" Austen butted in.

"Yeah, whatever." I told her then whent back to Jake. "Can you??"

"Sure, Sam. I'll be there in about 5 minutes."

"Ok, see you then."

We hung up and I turned to Austen. "He'll be here soon."

"I still don't know why you want me to come. What's the real reason??" She said like a detecive quizzing someone.

"I want you to see him." I said simply. And I really did. I don't think she ever really quite knew why I liked him. I didn't either, until I found out I was only being pulled in becuase he was in my own species.

"What do you mean??"

"I mean, he is even hotter than when you saw him at Koi!! Yeah, I know. Hard to belive, but it's true."

"Wow." She said.

"Plus, he knows you too. The Beetles shirt remember??" I said smiling.

"Yeah who could forget that??"

Just then I heard the purr of a very expensive engine stop in front of the house. "He's here. Lets go."

When Austen saw Jake I laughed. She stood open mouthed eyes wide just starring at him. Jake didn't pay any attention to it. "Ready??" He asked.

"How can anyone be that tall?? Or muscular?? Damn!!" She said amazed.

"Oh shut up and get in the car!!"

"Hello Alex." I said as I neared him.

"Hey." He said. I knew Austen couldn't see him yet but she sure can hear him.

"Was that his voice?? Wow. I think you were right."

"That's nothin'. Wait til you see him."

But as I got closer I could see that Alex wasn't alone.

"Who's that??" I asked him.

"Oh, I hope you don't mind, but I brought Jenna too."

CHAPTER 18

I was surprised. Simple as that. I didn't expect to see her. I really didn't expect for her to know what he was...and now what I was.

I walked up to Alex and whispered, "Does she know??"

"Yeah," He whispered back. "She figured it out. She's smarter than she looks." The adoring tone he used barely touched me. I honestly didn't care that they were dating. But something told me she shouldn't know. I don't know why though. I mean, I had told Austen right??

"Umm... I hope you guys know I can't see a damn thing here!!!" Austen pipped up and I remembered I brought a flashlight so she could see. Alex and I didn't need it.

"Oh right. Here." I tossed her the flashlight and she turned it on. It took a couple seconds for me eyes to ajust but when they did I saw here looking at Alex, almost shocked.

She walked over to me. "I know you said he was hott but...wow. I'm not saying anything else. I have a boyfriend remember??"

"I didn't bring you here to hook up with him!! Wierdo!! Anyway, what's up Jenna?? I haven't seen or talked to you in a while."

"Nothin' much," She said in her quiet little voice. "Just been doin' a whole lotta nothin'." She and Alex extanged glances but then looked back at us. "What about you??"

"Pretty much the same except I have a secret night life." I emphisized the word. "But other than that nothin'."

"Uh huh," Then she turned to Alex and starteed whispering. "Why didn't you tell me she was coming?!?! I would have stayed home." The only reason I could hear her is because of my very sensitive ears. Austen couldn't hear a thing.

"She comes every night!! PLus, I thought you liked her." Alex whispered back.

"What do you think there saying??" Austen said besided me.

"I know exactly what there saying," I said in a voice that was so low I didn't know if she heard me or not.

"I do. I just know she likes you and I'm afraid you'll leave me for her." Jenna whispered. And even though the thought broght happy butterflies into my stomache, I don't know how she could even think that. She knows I'd never, ever do that unless she's 100% fine with it.

"I'd never do that to you. Ever." Alex said then kissed her!! I saw Austen sideways glance at me then look back at them.Full make-out. My reaction wasn't what I'd thought it'd be. I was ok with it. I lookeed away though because Alex was looking at me. So was Jenna. Talk about weird. 

"Umm, sorry to interupt," Austen said, "but there are two people standing  here and we'd like to get on with this whole thing." The broke off both looking embarassed.

"Uh, right." I said brillantly. "What was the conversation even about?? Did we even have one??"

"I don't really know," Alex said looking directly at me with a wierd look in his eyes. I tryed to get in his head but I think he felt it because then He said, "It wont work. I can block my brain whenever I want and I don't want you hearing what I'm thinking right now."

Something told me that I really didn't.

CHAPTER 19

I had my suspitions about Alex. I don't what about, though. Something just feels off. Like he dosent want to be here, and playing his part to well. I can't read his mind. He doesn't let me. The mind communications we have his him reading my response, not me putting my response in his head.

The next school day, everything will be pretty much back to normal. Well for me, Alex, and Jenna- who now knew everything about everything apparently.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like Jenna. She's a cool kid. I knew she could keep a secret but I felt like she was in league with Alex. I know it's silly. Alex and Jenna are dating, of course there in league. I felt like it went deeper than that. I can't get into Jenna's head either. Alex is blocking it. Why, I don't know, but I want to find out.

DING DING!!

"Ugh!!" It's monday morning. Waking up is hard. Especially when you know whats going to happen next.

When I walked in, I saw that Rain was already there. We had this compatition type thing- who could get in the class room first. There wasn't a prize or anything, just a fun little game.

Right when I was about to sit down I heard, "I beat you this morning!!" Rain laughed and walked to his seat.

"Yea, well tomarrow I'm riding with my dad and i'll be the first one here!!" I smiled.

"Then i'll ask my mom to drop me off early so I can finish my homework in the quiet morning air." This time he smiled and looked at the door. His smile faded and he got up to leave. I turned around and saw Alex. After Rain claimed to have to go to the bathroom, Alex turned to me.

"You know you can't repeat anything from last night??" He asked almost fiercly.

I was a little surprised because we didn't really do or say anything worth repeating. "Umm, yea I guess. But what..." I didn't really know how to phrase it but, as always, Alex was in my head and knew exactly what I meant.

"You don't remember?? After the playground?? In your room??" Now he was a little confused.

"No...wait. You were in my room?? What were you doing there?!"

He looked embarassed, but then changed his look when he read my mind. "Umm, yea. I needed to talk to you about things Jenna and Austen wouldn't understand."

"Oh," was all I could say. Alex Gray was in my room?! Wow. Why don't I remember??

"I might have been because you fell asleep on the ride back to Austen's house and you weren't fully awake when we talked. Like your first couple weeks of not remembering what you did at night." He answered my unspoken question.

"Oh, wait how'd you know about that??" Wow.

"Remember when you found out what I was a couple days ago?? And you fell on me and you saw you life flash before your eyes?? Yea, so to answer your question, from experience. I saw it in you point of veiw and you experianced it."

"Uh huh... Umm, I think you should let people in the room now. The bell is about to ring."

"Oh, right."

The day went by as normaly as my life can get.

Hey Alex, can you hear me?? I thought on the bus home.

Yes. What's up?? I heard Alex think back.

Since I have no idea what went on last night, can you tell me now??

Umm, you know it really wasn't that important and It wouldn't matter if you went with out that knowlegde.

But you told me I should never repeat what happened and I want to know what happened so I don't repeat...it... Wow I'm an idiot.

Well if you don't know it then I can know for sure you wont repeat it.

Fine, but I'm not giving up. I will find out what you told me. Even if your the only other person on the planet that knows... I'll dig in my brain.

Yea, you do that. He said, then I felt him fade out.

I put my headphones in and cranked up the music so loud I couldn't even hear the buses brakes (Which really hurt my ears) and thunk hard.

CHAPTER 20

Christmas has past. It's time for snowy January. Things have been going well...ish. Alex and I never let on that we know anything. Jenna hardly ever talks, so no problem there. Figuring out what goes on every night now apparently, keeps giving me a headache. One of these days I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night and catch him in the act!

I talk to Austen every day and update her on things. There's usually nothing to update on, though.

"Sammy?? Sammy!!"

"Huh what?!?" I said. Apparently I dosed out. Oops.

"It's time to go!" Syl said. 

"Oh, right." I don't know what happens when I sleep during the day, what with all the things I do at night without really knowing I'm doing it, but with the way everyone was looking at I could tell it wasn't so good. "What happened??" I asked her.

She looked at me wierd, "What you don't know??"

"No. Sometimes I sleep talk and walk and stuff. I don't know it happens," I lied convincingly.

"Oh. Well you being a smarty pants. Answering every question right along with practacaly teaching the class. I never knew you that smart."

"Umm...yea." I just noticed that we were leaving fourth period Algebra 1. Wow. I don't suck at math but I don't get it before the teacher even teaches it.

I turned and left.

"Wow. Who knew you that smart??" Said a voice I wish I didn't know so well.

"Well I just hope the expert on this whole vamp thing will tell me what just happened," I said real quietly so no one but Alex could hear me.

"Hey, I'm not an expert. I'm just older and more...experianced."

"Sure..."

"And I can tell you what happened. Your inner vamp took over your body. Your family is really smart right??"

"Yes, but thats because there more than a hundred years old!!" A girl walking bye looked at me wierdly. "What??" I asked her but she walked away.

"You might wanna lower your voice--"

"Or," I interupted him, "we can talk about this later." Jenna walked up then.

"OOO can I come??" She asked. And of course Alex said. "Sure, sweetie." Him and Jenna passed a look between them that I couldn't place.

"Ok," was all I said, and then grabbed my books and went to Physical Science.

Later, when I I was walking to the playground (yes I was walking. But I was walking every fast.), I heard Alex and Jenna talking.

"Look," Alex said, "I'm not going to tell her about us. I keep yours and my head locked from her. There's no way she can get any information what-so-ever about us. Just calm down, I think she's here."

Then I walked around the corner, "What's there to calm down about?? You've done this before." I scared the crap out of Jenna, but Alex knew I was there. I tried to close my mind like he does but I don't think it worked.

"How much did you hear??" Alex asked. This was the time to see if the shield thing-y worked.

"Just the part where you said 'Just calm down, I think she's here'. And you where right, I am here. Now, why was I so smart??"

"Well You do have your dad's brain you know. Since he's so smart you are. It's more out there when you turn full-vamp, which is what you are when your asleep. You can walk and talk and think when your asleep."

"So, no one but me knows I'm asleep?? Wow. Cool."

"Exactly."

"That's it?? Thats the only reason I'm so smart?? I've got my dad's brain. Really??"

"Yep."

"Wow. Um, so...what's up??" I said like an idiot.

"Nothin much. Jenna and I are going to The Golden Coral tomarrow," He said that with a big grin on his face. "But nothin really, you?? Have you figured out what we talk about every night??" He paused before he said the word talk, I wouldn't have catched it if wasn't pay as much attention as I was to him. 

"Nope, but I have an idea that's going to work!! You just see tonight...." And I really did. Turning my alarm on to wake me up in the middle on the night was geneous!! God I hope my mind was blocked and he couldn't hear that.

I looked at my IPod. It was almost eleven. "Hey, I gotta go. I really need some sleep!! I do NOT want to fall asleep during math again. I'll catch ya later."

"Ok. See ya later."

I went home and set my alarm, waiting for Alex to come.

CHAPTER 21

BEEP BEEP BE--

He cut it off to late, I was already awake. I opened my eyes and looked around. My arm was on something. almost like I was hugging it. It was to dark to see anything but we both new with my new eyes that I could see perfectly just by using the light from my alarm clock.

I heard someone sigh and my arm went up and down. I sat up and looked at where my arm was, and gasped. "That was your briliant plan to wake you up??" He said. "Wow. Well I guess it worked, huh??"

"That was my intention," I said hesatently. "So this is what you asked my not to talk about?? You sleeping in my bed??"

"No," he said sitting up, "I didn't want you to repeat my history. You see, I told you absolutly everything about myself to you all while you asleep. And you don't remember anything about it."

"Is that good or bad??" I asked.

"Depends. Who's you father??"

The question caught me off-guard. "Why do you need to know that?? Wait a minute!! You know everything about me!! Remember??"

"Yes, well, since I'm not really fully devoloped in that area (Just as you aren't in your gifts), so I kinda forgot everything. Well not really everything. I still know that you like me and I know that you have had some troble in your past." When he said he knew I liked him I almost screamed. Why was he here then?? He has a girlfriend!!

"Ok," I said. "Why do you want to know who my father is then?? What dose that have to do with anything??"

"Because, my father is someone I don't really want you to know." He saw the confusion on my face and explained."Your dad may have a grudge against mine. Is your real mom alive??" He asked suddenly.

"Umm, yea. She was an inch away from death but then my dad put his venom in her without bitting her. But again, what does that have to do with anything??"

"Because my mom is alive to. It happened almost the same way except my dad did bite her, then he saw me and my sister and stopped."

"Wait, sister?? Are you talking about Lyric?? She's only like five, though, right??"

"Six. And no I'm not talking about her. I'm talking about my twin. I have a feeling you know her." He said. Then he got up and said, "Come on. Didn't you want me to meet you parents??"

"Fine. But let me call first.Let them get ready."

We ran there. It wasn't far and while we were running time flew even faster. We got there in two minutes.

"Wow. Nice house," he said when we got there.

We walked up the stairs and the door opened when we reached the top. "Come in. Carlisle said. I glanced at Alex. He was staring at Carlisle with wide eyes. Carlisle pretended not to notice.

We walked inside. "Hi, Carlisle. Who ya been??"

"Fine, just fine." He almost seemed stressed. I looked at Jasper and read his thoughts and feelings. Yep, he was stressed.

"What's wrong??" I asked everyone.

"Lets just introduce everyone right now." Carlisle walked over to me and whispered, "We'll talk later."

"Um, ok. Alex this is my family," I pointed to each person as I spoke. "Alice, Jasper, Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmet, and my parents Edward and Bella."

"Wow. Big family." He said. "Oh, uh, Hi. I'm Alex Gray."

Everyone murmered their hi's. "Oh!! Where's Jake??"

"He's is...with his pack. Getting them rounded up." Bella said.

"Didn't he do that when we first met?? Why again??"

"Yes, well," She looked at Alex, "persaonal matters."

"Umm, is there something I should know about??" I asked.

"Yes. But we will explain that later," said Edward, looking at Alex, "for now, lets just get to know eachother." He smiled. I knew my father. There was something seriously wrong. I looked at Alex.

"Ok, let's talk."

CHAPTER-22

After the really akward conversation with my familyand Alex, we left. Well, he left. His mom was looking for him. I stayed and figured out what was so wrong with Alex.

"He was just a little boy then," My dad was telling me. "He was in his mothers arms surounded by the Volturi guards."

"Umm...ok. When??" I asked, confused.

"Well, you where there!!" Emmet said.

"What?? Are you saying...he was at the...."

"Yes." Wow. Alex and I knew each other from a couple months after birth. Wow. "Wait. Who's his father?? I thought Marcus's wife died...."

"I don't know," Edward said. Which a shocker. My mind reading father didn't know who Alex's dad is?? Wow. "He also has a sister."

"I know about the sister, but he didn't say who she was. And how do you not know??"

"Well, Aparently, they either had another Bella, or they had training closing their mind. Which is sorta wierd but Aro is always prepared. Wait...didn't Alex say he can see part of a person's life if he's touching them?? With his hand??"

"Yes...Ohmygoodness!! You don't think...??" Wow. Alex was Aro's child?? No. That's not right!! Aro's wife was a vampire. She couldn't have kids!!

Edward read my mind, "Exactly!! So how can that be possible...?"

"He could've had an affair or something." Everyone turned to Emmet. "What?? It's possible!!"

"But everyone knows that a vamp has one soulmate," Rosalie said, walking toward him. "Plus, I don't think Aro would have the strength to loose himself like that. She would've been dead."

She had a point. "Tell ya what," I said. "I'll ask him. If he lies...well I'll beable to know...except he doen't let me into his head much. But, I will ask. and I have proof. You remember seeing him, and his sister, A Vamp's memory never goes bad." I smiled.

"Yea, go ask. But he probably won't tell you much." Edward said.

"Hopefully, I'll get more than he wants me to know."

CHAPTER 23

"We need to talk," I snuck up on him and whispered in his ear. I confronted him during lunch the next day. He was Talking to Rain and Spencer, his Saxophone buddy in band.

"Can't it wait??" He complained. "I'm kind of talking right now."

I looked of his sholder and looked at Rain and Spencer. "Sorry guys. Jenna wants to see him," I lied. Alex knew it too, but he couldn't refuse.

"Ooo, You are in trouble!!" Rain said, then they walked away.

"Ok, I know I have explaining to do, but this is hardly the place." He said.

"Yea yea, whatever. I don't care!! No one is going to understand the meaning of my words anyway!! I need the truth!!" I pulled him out of the cafeteria. "And yes you do have explaining to do. Start."

"Um, where??" He asked.

"Where what??"

"Where do I start??"

"Well, the beginning is usually where people begin!!"

"Ugh, fine. Yes, my Father is Aro. No, I don't know how. I never knew my mother. I really can't tell you anything more." That helps.

"Well, how come I don't remember you at the clearing?? I mean, I know it was a long time ago, but I remember everything else!!"

"Probably because I was hidden beneith gaurds!! But I recognised you from the second I saw you."

"And you didn't say anything?! Look, I know you kinda have to keep it a secret and all but, really?! You could've saved me a lot of confusion!!"

"Yea, well, I didn't. Like a good little boy--"

"Since when are you good??"

"That's beside the point. I didn't talk to you sooner because I didn't really know if recognised me. Even in elementary school. And you don't."

"Why do you seem so dissapointed?? I turned into a human!! Well for a few years anyway. I did that to help, I think. I'm still a little fuzzy on the whole subject."

"I'm dissapointed because I--"

"Hey guys. Everything ok??" Jenna walked out of the lunch room.

"Yea," Alex said. "She knows."

Jenna got wide eyes. "How?!"

"I was right. She was the one at the clearing, But she dosen't remember it. Her parents do, though. They told her."

"Ok," She leaned into Alex and whispered so low I could just barely hear her. "Does she know about us??"

"Not that I know of. She hasn't said anything," Hw whispered back. Then they turned and looked at me. "We better get lunch. I don't know 'bout y'all, but I'm hungry!!" Then they walked inside.

I stayed. I wasn't that hungry.

Are you sure she dosen't know??  Jenna's voice poped up in my head. But Alex is guarding her head as well as his own. I can hear through walls. He doesn't know that. I didn't know it until now. He let his guard down!!

I'm possitive. She dosen't know. I would've heard it in her head. She's not that good at hiding her brain. I know she's confused, though. Look, sis, everything will be fine.

SIS!?!?! Jenna can't be his sister!! Then I remembered what people have been telling me of his sister.

I'm talking about my twin. I have a feeling you know her in one way or another.

He also has a sister.

But Jenna?? He's dating her!! Well I guess It looks like it becuase there spending alot of time together in and out of school...I've never realy seen them kiss.... Wow. Well now I knew. I need to learn how to close my mind, For long periods of time this time. Shouldn't be that hard.

Boy, was I wrong. 

CHAPTER 24

Training started right away, and I was sure to keep my distance from him until I was positive that I had the shield thing down.

"Ok, we've done this before. Just try and keep it up without letting your guard down." Edward was telling me one day while I was trying to keep him from reading my mind. "But I really don't see why we need to do this. If he can only read your mind when he touches you, then don't let him touch you."

"It's not that simple. Aparently, He can read my mind just because he's use to being around me. I don't really know how it works so can really elaborate on that." I tried to explain.

"Ok." Then we went back to practicing.

"YES!!" I yelled when I finally kept Edward from reading my thoughts for over an hour without even thinking about it.

I haven't really seen any body for those couple of weeks that I was practicing. I didn't go to school but I could tell them I was sick and nobody will care.

My family understood; sorta. They didn't understand why I had to shield my brain from anybody, but they let me do it anyway.

"Now I can go to school and Alex wont know I know anything!! Unless he wonders why I decided to suddenly cut him out of head and he puts the peices together. But He dosen't know I heard the conversation between them so I don't see that happening." I was babbling so I shut up. I do that when I'm happy sometimes. I was just happy I could it. A little consenration never hurt.

"Yes, now you need to go back to school," Bella started saying. "Your education should always come at least second." She smiled.

I laughed, "Yep. Well tomarrow's Monday and I need sleep!! I'll see you guys later."

When I got to school the next day everyone was wondering where I was. I didn't see why they would care but I told them I was really sick with the flu. It was the end of January.

Alex was looking at me funny so I closed my head. I saw shock take over his face but then he turned away.

I didn't miss anything at school, which wasn't a very big surprise.The most exciting thing that happened was Mrs. Davis (My math teacher) got a perm!! (True story!!)

I could tell Alex wanted to talk to me but he didn't say anything. Just kept taking glances at me. I figured It was just to see if he could read my thoughts, but I kept my head shielded and he would eventually get frustrated and stop.

"Ok, how??" We were in sixth period. Alex, Jenna, and I sat at a table buy ourselves. Mrs. Macmakin never payed attention to us so we just talked.

I decided to play dumb, which wasn't hard. "How what??" I said in an innocent tone.

"'How what??' You know what!!"

"Ok, ok. I wanted to see If I can do it to. I can't read your mind even though that's what I do. The only thing I do--"

"It's not the only thing you do. You can do more. We half-vamps, have the power of our mother, father, and one of our own. You've got at leased one more."

"Yes but my father can't put his thoughts into other peoples head like I can."

"Well no power is the same thing twice."

"Fine. What I was saying before, I wanted to see if I can keep you out. And...If I can't read you, You can't read me."

"That's fair," Jenna finally pipped up. "I mean, If she wants her privacy she can have it."

"Thanks, Jenna." And for a moment I compleatly forgot that she was Alex's sister, and the fact she kept it from me. Oh my god. If she's Alex's sister, and Alex is a vamp, well sorta, them Jenna is too!! Why did I not see that!! She totally passed for human that I took no notice to it. Even at night, she dosen't look any different. well nither do I but that's because I already look like that during the day, I have no control over it. Maybe she's the same way...

In my sudden random relization I didn't even notice Jenna say, "No problem." I got up with all my stuff and ran out the door, not carring that Mrs. Macmakin was yelling after me.

CHAPTER 25

Holy flipping fuge cakes!!! No way!! I was in shock. Major shock. I was sitting in one of the bathroom stalls waiting for the bell to ring so I can leave this dump.

Ding Ding, Ding...Ding. YES!!!
