Chapter 1
“Haley, when are you going to call a friend?” called Hayley's mom from downstairs
“When I feel like it!” I yelled back from my bedroom, laying on my bed listening to “Paramore”, my all-time favorite band. Being 14 years old is very hard for me. I don’t have my license so I can’t go anywhere, I don’t have a cell phone so my parents can’t drop me off anywhere(they believe in the whole"whenyou're 16 you need a cell phone and no sooner, thing), and all summer only two of my friends called me to hang out. Maybe I’m just too boring for them. But my altime best friend in the world did come over alot. His name is Dan and we've been best frieds since we were 2. But he moved and hour away last spring.But all my other 'friends' are always so happy, loud, and laughing. It can get kind of annoying at times. My mom always says “You want to make friends who will be there for you ‘till the end.” And I've found that friend, but he is 2 years older than me and lives far away.But I need a friend who is not very outgoing. That friend who will still be my friend even when we don’t like the same stuff. Really, is that too much to ask? Am I being too picky?
Earlier this year one of my friends introduced me to this book called Twilight. So, since I love reading and I love love stories, I decided to give it a go. And once I started I couldn’t stop! It was so amazing I’d recommend it to anyone! The book is about this human girl, Bella Swan, who goes to live with her father in Forks, WA. . While she’s there she meets an interesting group of people. The Cullen’s. They were all so angelically beautiful, but rarely talked to anyone. The Cullen family included: Carlisle, Eseme, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmet, and finally Edward. Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmet, and Edward all went to Bella’s high school. Bella finally finds out what’s up with the Cullen’s. They’re vampires. Though, they like to think of themselves as vegetarians, because they don’t hunt humans. They only survive on the blood of animals. This is very uncommon in the vampire world. The scent of Bella’s blood is hypnotizing to Edward but learns to control his thirst because he knows the pain of loosing her would be too great for him to bear. Towards the end of the story Edward and Bella are madly in love and can no longer live without each other. The character Bella is very quiet, not very social, and does not like to be the center of attention. As I was reading this book, it came to me. Bella is the friend I’ve been looking for! “Wait,” I thought to my self. “Bella is a made up character. There is no way she can be my friend. And Edward. He’s the man of my dreams. So polite, smart, and gorgeous. He’s the one I want, and I want to be just like him! I want to be a vampire! But vampires aren’t real. Or are they…?”
Months have passed and I’ve convinced myself that vampires do exist. Now my friends think I’m boring and crazy! Great. Just what I needed. One day, after school, we had no homework. So I decided to take a nap. I had a dream about Edward and Bella. Bella was running beside Edward. They were both running very fast (Vampires have super speed and strength.) through a forest. I realized that in my dream, Bella was a vampire too. Their eyes were black as the midnight’s sky. (They turn black when they’re thirsty.) Then all of a sudden, I saw another vampire and immediately I knew exactly who it was. It was me! I was running about two paces behind them and my eyes were black too! And I felt this horrible pain in my throat. Like someone put a flaming torch down there then was slicing it open with knives. It was the feeling of thirsting for blood. Just then, I woke up. But I still felt the pain.
“Hayley, time for dinner!” mom called from downstairs “Hayley?” no answer “Hayley!!” no answer “Hayley Nicole, you get down here right now!!” no answer, So her mom decided to go upstairs and get her. When her mom walked into her room, it was empty. Hayley’s music was still playing, her lights were still on, and her bed was all wrinkled. “Where is that girl.” Thought mom, Just as she looked at her desk, there was a note on it. It read “Gone Hunting, the thirst was too painful.” Her mom almost fainted as she stood frozen staring at the open window.
Chapter 2
"Aaahhhh!!!!!" I screamed in pain. I was now 5 miles away from my house in the forest. I was going to find something to stop this pain. I got up, ignoring the pain, and started running again. About 15 minutes later I came across a coyote. "How the heck am I going to catch a coyote?" I thought. "Well, I might as well try. Anything to stop this pain!"
The coyote was at the bottom of a hill drinking from a stream. I quietly climbed up to the top of the hill."3,2,1..." and I sprinted as fast as my legs could take me."Wow! I think I might actually be able to catch it!" I thought. But just then, the coyote turned aroud and saw me running at him. It was too late. I couldn't stop running now. Stupid gravety! The coyote started running towards me then, all of a sudden, everything was black.
Chapter 3
"Hayley, Hayley, Hayley...!!!" called a voice
"oooo,ahhh!" I moaned in pain.
"HAYLEY!!!!!!!"called the voice again getting closer and closer by the second.
Then, the voice was right next to me.
"Oh Thank God I found you!!! Hayley!! Can you hear me?!?" called the now very farmilliar voice
I moaned.
"Oh!" the voice sighed in relief "Your alive! I promise I will never leave you again. I love you." said the voice
Just then, I realized who it was. It was Dan! He picked me up as gently as he could but everything felt like it was broken.
"AAHHH!!!" I screamed in pain.
Dan got very scared when I did this and immediatly took out his cell phone and called the others who were searching for me. "Hi. I found her. We need paramedics asap!!!" Just then I blacked out again.
Chapter 4
"But why would she just run away?"my mom asked frantically.
"I'm not sure, but if I were you I would bring her to a therapist." said the doctor.
Just then I woke up to everyone surrounding me with worried looks on their faces.
"Hayley! How are you feeling?" Dan was the first to ask.
"I feel...better. But everything still hurts."I explained.
"I'll get you some more pain relievers." The Doctor said, and he walked out of the room. My mom,my dad, and Dan were all still in the room.
"What are you doing here?"I asked Dan
"Well, I was in town this weekend visiting my grandparents and decided to surprise you with a visit. But when I walked over to your house, your mom was sobbing and said that you had run away. So I went to go search for you and Luckily I ws the one who found you. Man, you were pretty badly torn up when I found you. Why would you run away anyways?"Dan explained.
"I, I - I don't know. I remember comming home from school, the taking a nap. I woke up scared because I had a bad nightmare. But I don't remember anything else." I said very confused.
"How bad am I anyways?" I asked
"Well, you broke your right arm and broke your left ankel. Then you lost a lot of blood, and you had a lot of wounds, but the Doctor stitched those up."My mom said walking over to me and sitting on my hospital bed. "As soon as you're back to normal, I'm going to have you go to Doctor Amelia. She's gonna ask you a few questions on why you ran away. Okay sweetie?"
"Ya, whatever." I replied
Four days later, I was released from the hospital. Though, I was on crutches and my arm was in a cast. They removed my stitches (which hurt like hell!!) on the last day that I was there. They said that I wouldn't need my crutches that long as long as I used them non-stop for two weeks.

I am so bored right now! my mom is bringing me to a counceler to figure out why i ran away. This is such a waste if time. I don't even know why i did. All i really want to do is go hang out with Dan, but unfortunatly he went back to his house. But we're staying in touch more. I want him to move back to our old neighborhood. But, it doesn't look like that's gonna happen because his dad just got a really high paying job out there and they now live in a really rich neighborhood and i don't think they'd want to move back to my little nobody town.
Chapter 5
Well, seeing Doctor Amelia was the biggest waste of time on my life. Shw asked me a bunch of questions about my life, and she said that I need to see her next week as well. Whoop de doo!
